Silkari The Pavilions Port Douglas

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Shannon, who went out of her way to make us comfortable. It’s right on the main street and reasonably priced. There’s no lift, so hauling suitcases up the stairs was difficult, but the ladies helped us with them. I’ll definitely stay again.

I’m staying here now, and this is the worst place I’ve stayed. I’ve added photos and videos so you can see what I mean. The pillows are lumpy and awful, and the view speaks for itself. Be prepared for drilling at 0700. The bathroom is very outdated, and the shower does its own thing. At best, I’d call this 3*. I spoke with the manager, who said there was nothing they could do. An email mentioned that work on a neighbouring block was in its final stages, but didn’t say it was right outside the patio doors. Once the work’s finished, I hope you enjoy looking at other people, because that’s all you’ll see. Be aware and don’t stay here.

The position is very good, and Shannon and the team at Silkari The Pavillions gave us extraordinarily excellent service in so many ways. Shannon felt like our own personal tour guide. Nothing was too much trouble: they helped change our room configuration, carry our luggage, park a rental car and plenty more. We can’t thank Shannon and the team enough.

I’ve stayed here many times, and it’s always my go-to in Port D. The rates are great, the location is great, and the staff are awesome and accommodating. Shannon, the property manager, is a credit to the place. She really helped my daughter and me when we had a late flight out of Cairns, which made a big difference. I recommend it to everyone.
