The location is great, and the place could be good, but the food service was a shambles when I stopped in today. I was told to wait outside for a waitress to take my order, and although she quickly fixed the initial order mistake, the starter and main arrived together even though I’d asked for a break between them. I saw her enter that request on the tablet. She said the kitchen was chaotic, but that’s no excuse. The waitress seemed inexperienced, and I don’t blame her. The food was well below average and just slapped on the plate. We also saw people missing meals, and some who were told to order outside instead of at the bar got fed up waiting and left. At the next table, one meal arrived 40 minutes after everyone else had finished. Who serves a starter and main at the same time? The staff seem to lack direction and leadership, and I’m not sure what’s happening in the kitchen. Management needs to seriously review things.

Our other accommodation fell through, and this place helped us out. The rooms are basic but great, with friendly staff, and it was clean, tidy, and open late. A simple breakfast was included and available 24 hours. I’d stay again.

Just stopped in for a cold drink, but the kitchen smelled great. Staff came by with an iPad and table number to see if we wanted to order, though we didn’t stay for dinner. The bar staff were really friendly, thank you.

The self service breakfast had plenty of options, and the location was great. Friendly place, a bit like a youth hostel, though you get a private, comfortable room. If you’re not a night clubber, be aware that Saturday club nights can get noisy. The nightclub is upstairs, and so are the rooms.

The rooms were dirty and dusty, with mould in the showers and dirty sheets. The public toilet floors were sticky and hadn’t been cleaned. It may be a budget hotel, but I still expect better cleanliness. There was a DJ downstairs from the rooms, and nobody told us about the noise until 3 am. The rooms felt depressing, with no windows to look out of or let in fresh air. I won’t stay again.
