Macquarie Towers 17 1 Waugh Street

We stopped here going north and again on the way back. The rooms were clean, quiet, very comfortable, and seemed freshly renovated. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Town was just a 5-10 minute walk away.

I was so happy with my stay that I came back on the return trip. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, and the location great. I was a little unsure when we first pulled up, but was pleasantly surprised once we opened the room door. Management were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help.

The young couple who welcomed us were delightful and so accommodating. We haven't felt this genuinely welcome anywhere before. The place was beautifully renovated and immaculately clean, the cleanest we've stayed in, even compared with big city hotels. It's centrally located, about a 500m walk into town for dinner, and being pet friendly was a huge bonus since we usually don't bring our cavoodle along. I'd give it six stars for cleanliness and friendliness if I could.

After a long day driving, this was a perfect rest stop. We were warmly welcomed at Reception, and the service was happy and friendly. The rooms felt fresh and clean, with a great shower, clean beds, milk in the fridge, and good wifi. We had a peaceful river view, and the location was handy: cross a couple of streets, then follow the easy, lovely river walk into town. We didn't use the pool, but could see it from our balcony and it looked clean and fresh. Great value for money and family friendly. We'd happily stay again next time we're in Port Macquarie.
