Macquarie Waters Boutique Apartment Hotel

We were there for just under a month. The rooms are spacious and have self catering facilities, but housekeeping was poor. The cleaners mostly just changed the linen, and about half the time they didn’t replenish condiments or toiletries. They never cleaned my living room or bathroom during my long stay. Guests arriving outside business hours also need a better reception process.

The staff were friendly and polite, and our spacious room was clean during our three night stay. Shops, restaurants, cafes and the beach are all very close. The fresh, clean smell was noticeable as soon as we opened the door. The downside was the small fridge and the lack of a microwave. I highly recommend staying at Macquarie Waters Boutique.

The location is excellent, close to the city center and the beach, and the apartment has its own secured car park. I booked a two bedroom place for two nights. It came with a washing machine, tumble dryer, cook top, and even a spa in the bathroom. There’s also a 1.2 meter deep swimming pool and a spa pool, both very suitable for kids.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this work trip was really disappointing. The reception was unfriendly, and when I politely asked the older lady this morning about the noise from the neighbours, she just ignored my question. There wasn’t even water in the room, so we had to buy some outside. Everything felt old, and nothing impressed us. After such a long day, I’d hoped to relax and relieve some stress, but that didn’t happen. For this price, the courtyard hotel is ten times better. We won’t come back after this bad experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends or family.
