Pelican Sands Bed & Breakfast

The view was a little disappointing, and the chilly breeze meant we couldn’t use the balcony. We stayed in the Arabian Nights room, which had an extremely noisy bathroom vent fan, though that was easy enough to overlook given the rest of the stay. This is a quaint B&B with cosy rooms, each decorated to a different theme. The owners were attentive and helpful, and breakfast was a standard hot meal made to order.

I booked this for my parents, hoping they’d have a nice weekend together. They liked the house and its great location, but said it was unbearably cold and the hospitality could have been better. They said it felt like they were renting a room in someone’s house. A bit disappointing.

I bought a stay here as a gift for my parents, but they left the B&B and went somewhere else because they didn’t feel comfortable. The hosts wouldn’t let them adjust the air con temperature, and the bed was squeaky and uncomfortable.

The owners are really friendly, and the rooms are modern, clean, and uncluttered. The location is beautiful, with unreal views and a sunset over the bay from the upstairs balcony. The website photos don’t do it justice; it’s quite nice.
