The rooms are large, and I was lucky that mine had two bedrooms because I had to move into the other one. This was my third stay, and sadly I feel the place is getting worse. The drains are blocked in both bathroom sinks and the showers, making it hard to use the sink as intended. I also found fingerprints on the shower tap and bath sink. It’s time to sort out those drains. I opened the master bedroom window before bed and was woken at 2 pm by loud voices and someone smoking in the ground-floor backyard area, which seemed connected to my room. The service apartment kitchen also needs a proper, usable garbage bin. The 15 cm plastic box there isn’t meant for food scraps. The towels and bed linen smelled bad, and I’m not sure they’re being changed. One towel was wet and looked as if another guest had used it. Cleanliness needs improvement.

We spent four nights at Quest Portland, from 29 December 2025 to 2 January 2026, in room 223, and were very disappointed. The worst part was being bitten by bed bugs during our stay. It caused a lot of distress and discomfort and spoiled what should have been a relaxing holiday. The carpet smelled strongly of urine as soon as we entered, which made the room feel unhygienic. The bathroom and shower also had visible cleaning problems that shouldn’t be there in a serviced apartment. Considering the price and the Quest brand’s reputation, we expected much better care and cleanliness. We wouldn’t stay again unless major improvements are made.

The location was superb, just a five-minute walk from the shops, and parking was easy. The staff were all friendly and efficient. From the living room, it was easy to get to the beautiful, clean pool. Inside, the bedroom, living room, dining room, and bathroom had breathtaking architecture, with a modern, spacious, luxurious feel. The bed was large and comfortable, the kitchen facilities were first class, and there was a huge walk-in shower. 😃

I got room 222, with a view of the pool, and the bed was the best ever. The place was amazing and the service was really nice. I arrived at 10 pm and everything was silent. The drinks were $3 though, why couldn’t they be free? Still, I’m happy.
