Dee's Retreat Rainbow Beach

The view was phenomenal, and the apartment was a great size, but it felt dated and showed some wear. It looked to be 10- 15 years old. The staff were lovely and very accommodating, and the pool looked inviting and well maintained, though we didn't use it. Building work across the road was loud enough to make relaxing on the patio difficult. We stayed in late April 2025, and it looked like the work might continue for a while, so I'd check before booking. The location was good, a 5- 10 min walk into town, with secure parking onsite.

We were lucky to get an upgrade to the top-floor corner apartment, and the views over Rainbow Beach were spectacular. It was so lovely to wake up there, and surprisingly quiet despite the large caravan park across the street. There was loads of room inside, a huge balcony with comfy outdoor seating, comfortable recliner sofas, and a big dining area if you wanted to host. We found almost everything we needed, from crockery to bath salts for the spa bath. The quadruple glass sliding doors let the sea breeze into the main living space, and there was a pool plus underground secure parking. You could take the stairs or lift. More comfortable pillows would have been nice, but that was a small thing. Great location for walking to Carlo Sandblow or the main strip for meals. I'd absolutely recommend it for couples or families.

Coming back to Rainbow for our 28th Anniversary was the perfect choice. Rainbow Sea was stunning. From the peaceful, ambient underwater slideshow music playing on the TV when we arrived to the glorious ocean view across the endless pool and over the palms, it was exquisite.

Amazing stay! Liz upgraded me to the penthouse suite, and OMG, I felt like a movie star. Great facilities, spectacular views, and a perfect location 👏👏
