The location made it easy to get around. Woolworths and Redcliffe Tavern were nearby, and the esplanade, beaches and Settlement Cove were an easy walk away. Families might like Settlement Cove, a man-made lagoon with free entry. The hotel pool was clean and lovely, and never too crowded. We arrived to a spotless, tidy two-bedroom apartment with two balconies and a large outdoor area with a table for six. It had everything we could need. The apartment was serviced during our stay, and the communication about that was clear. When we got back, everything was fresh and clean again. The housekeeper we passed on her way out was so lovely.

The receptionist was an absolute ray of sunshine. She made me feel so welcome and cared for, and went above and beyond to help me feel at home. Such a kind soul, and she deserves a raise of the highest numerical value.

You come here to sleep and leave, not for sightseeing or fine dining. It's basic, functional accommodation, and the location doesn't have much special nearby. The tavern across the road is pretty ordinary. Our room smelled foul and was noisy, both from being next to reception and from very noisy neighbours. The bathroom light and fan kept tripping the circuit breaker.

We booked a studio and found it comfortable, clean and spacious enough for us. Everything from booking through to leaving was easy. What stood out most was the staff. The receptionist and the service and cleaning staff we bumped into in the basement car park were all incredibly friendly, polite and nice. They clearly have some great people working there, and they deserve a shout-out and appreciation.

Our late-night arrival was handled well, and the stay was good overall. We did find unclean crockery and cutlery in the room, though. Mosquitoes had got in because there were no fly screens, and there wasn't any fly spray for us to use ourselves.
