Bellinger River Tourist Park

We enjoyed the view from our long, narrow waterside site, with room to park the car in front of the van and sit out back. There was plenty of birdlife, and the camp kitchen was great, including a coffee machine. Reception and staff were lovely. The park is well kept and the amenities very clean. With our windows open, we could hear road traffic at night, along with the XPT and a few coal trains passing nearby, though the view made up for the noise. You can hire a fireplace for $5 a night, and a bag of wood costs $22.

The deluxe tiny room was awesome for our one-night stop while passing through. It sits right by the river, with good fishing and crabbing, and there's even a boat ramp on site. I’ll make this a regular stop when I’m heading up the coast.

The park had a friendly family feel, even though it was packed for the Christmas holidays. Our Tiny House was spotless, with fresh towels, a swivel TV, good air conditioning, strong shower pressure, and everything we needed for a great stay. It’s close to the road, so very light sleepers should know that, but traffic was sparse and it didn’t affect our sleep much.

A peaceful, lovely park with clean facilities and hosts who were very helpful. We’ve booked the courtesy bus to the nearby bowls club for dinner tomorrow night.
