We booked two rooms, and both felt disgusting. Room 1 smelled like wet carpet, and though I can’t say whether it was mouldy, the smell was unbearable. We had four fans running full blast just to sleep. The double bed was broken and slanted, the single beds were uncomfortable, and the TV had sound but no picture. The bathroom door was locked, and if it had shut from the room side, we wouldn’t have been able to open it. The shower flooded the whole bathroom, there was no toaster, and several walls had holes. In Room 2, the key kept getting stuck in the door and was hard to remove. Staff had to help once. The carpet was filthy, the beds were uncomfortable, and sticky tape was holding the power point to the wall. Outside, the bins were full and stinky. The rooms need major maintenance and a makeover. They were cheap, but the stay completely ruined our experience of this town.

For an inexpensive overnight stay, this motel is good value, and you get what you pay for. Our room was clean, spacious, and handy for town and walks, though it had a few flaws. There was no Wi-Fi or air-conditioning, and the windows wouldn’t open. Fortunately, there was a pedestal fan because it was a hot night.

We paid $218 through booking.com for a twin room for two blokes on motorbikes. There was no air-conditioning, and the second bed was only a single. We had to ask reception for toilet paper when we arrived. The beds were poor, one very soft and the other all springs with no padding. The shower door wouldn’t close and the toilet seat was broken. Wouldn’t recommend.

Our stay was let down by the room’s cleanliness. The carpet was disgusting, the mattress was so uncomfortable, and the shower floor had mould along parts of the edges. Some light shades and the fan were broken too. Customer service was very poor overall. The manager wasn’t at reception, so we couldn’t speak with them.

There were far too many mosquitoes in the room. My children ended up covered in bites, and we all got about two hours of sleep. The place has a great location and potential with a little extra TLC, and the room was bigger than expected, but it was very dated and dirty. There were marks on the walls, blinds coming off their rods, a broken window, and a cupboard missing a door.
