The room was very clean, but this deluxe studio really only works for one person. There’s just one chair, and although detergent and a tea towel are provided, there’s no sink for dishes, only the bathroom basin. It didn’t feel suitable for two people, especially seniors.

We were only passing through and tired, so it was somewhere to rest our heads. Getting in after 5 pm was easy enough since they messaged that the key would be left in an envelope in the letterbox, but it was difficult to turn in the lock and the handle felt very loose. A piece of metal fell off the inside of the door, and later we couldn’t lock it when we went out. The room smelled on arrival. The hard bed had no quilt, just a rough, unattractive oriental bedspread. The shower area wasn’t very clean either. The air conditioner didn’t work properly, and the small room became freezing later that night. We had no blankets, and the faulty remote made adjusting the temperature difficult. It was too stuffy to switch the unit off.

The room looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. There was soap stuck on the shower wall, lolly wrappers on the floor, and stickers from a Kmart purchase. That was really disappointing. I’m happy to stay in a budget cabin, but it still needs to be clean. We also didn’t see anything saying check-in was at the Big Rig, so we drove there to find the person handling check-in had stepped out for a few minutes. We and other guests were left waiting in the hot sun. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Our studio cabin was meant for two, but it had only one chair and no dishwashing sink apart from the bathroom basin, despite having crockery and cutlery. It really isn’t set up for two people, and I wouldn’t recommend it for seniors.
