Peppers Hunter Valley Accor Vacation Club Apartments

We got a beautiful house on the golf course, and it was absolutely worth the money. It had everything we needed and more, with a stylish, high-end look while still being really comfortable. So glad we booked it!

Kangaroos came right up near the house, and the view over the golf course was awesome. The location is fabulous. We stayed in a beautiful, very clean three-bedroom home, with comfortable beds and great air conditioning, though the place itself was quite basic. They don't supply anything extra. A few simple things would have made the stay more convenient, like an ice bucket, a plate for a cheese platter, spray and wipe, or salt and pepper shakers. That would be especially helpful for a family stay in “Wine Country,” since there are no shops within walking distance.

I expected poor service after reading previous reviews, but the Nineteen restaurant staff were helpful and the service was great. We walked across the road, where they honour the 50% Accor food discount. As a Gold All Accor member, I called reception to ask about redeeming the two free drinks, and they offered a bottle of wine from the mini bar, which was very convenient. Our two-bedroom apartment was beautiful and spacious, with a bathroom for each room, two outdoor spaces at opposite ends, and a gas fireplace. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything from an ice bucket and glasses to pots, plates, a dishwasher, microwave, tea, instant coffee and a full-size fridge. We loved it. A friend had warned us the place was run down and didn't look like the photos, so I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe there are different apartments, or we got lucky. We paid a bit extra, but it was well worth it for our family. We'll definitely come back.

The rooms were spacious and kept in good condition, but the experience with management and service was extremely disappointing. Staff seemed more interested in throwing their weight around than making guests feel welcome. When I raised a concern through the proper channels, the response was dismissive and rude. I won't return and would strongly advise others to avoid the property.
