A lovely, clean park with friendly staff and facilities that are clearly well cared for. We enjoyed our stay and found the place welcoming and well run. A few things could make it even better: basic food and drinks, small retail essentials like caravan chemicals and pantry supplies, kitchen utensils and disposable plates, cups and cutlery, plus LPG bottle refills. The toilet paper was very thin, so an upgrade there would help. There were young children up and active from about 5:30am, as can happen in caravan parks, so light sleepers should bear that in mind. We’d happily recommend the park and stay again.

The unpowered spots are close to the road, but nights were surprisingly quiet. The park is green, the facilities were immaculate, and there were plenty of toilets and showers. Each site allows up to two people, which helped keep things peaceful, and most visitors seemed to be travellers. The staff were exceptional. It’s a shame that one couple or group can disregard the rules by parking badly, bringing extra children, playing loud music and not supervising them. I’ve seen young Australians do this, then make excuses and laugh about breaking the rules after staff speak to them. Thumbs up to the staff who have to deal with it. Aussies, do you feel proud when tourists respect your country’s rules and way of life, while some of you don’t? Maybe it’s time for a bit of self-reflection. You can’t be so entitled.

The staff were lovely, but the $232 cabin was dated, rusty and smelly. The air con barely worked and the lock was faulty. If you’re camping and happy with shared facilities, that may be fine, but for that price I expected something more decent. The owners need to fix and update things or lower the rates. I’d try somewhere else.

I’ve stayed here before and liked it. It was central to Byron Bay, and the beach huts were cute and nicely presented. This time I called to ask about a powered site for our small pop top caravan, one car and three adults. We were told that because of the two-person-per-site rule, we’d have to book two sites at $70 each. It’s February, not school holidays, though maybe a fairly busy time. I don’t see why one van needs more space just because there are three of us. When I questioned it, the response was basically, “that’s how it is done.” The man on the phone was abrupt and not very polite. I could understand the rule if we had several tents or swags, but even then it feels like a stretch. It seems the park is set up for pairs and prices everyone else out.
