Barklysuites Apartments

It’s rare to find a BnB this good that’s also PET FRIENDLY. Ian and Christine’s Barkly Suites is an exceptional purpose built property, and they’re so welcoming, as are their three gorgeous Border Collies. LUXE FIVE STAR ACCOMODATION! We’ll be back again and again.

The cooked-to-order breakfast was exceptional, the bed was comfortable, and the garden was beautiful. Chris and Ian have thought of everything and created a truly exceptional place to stay. We were blown away. We wished we’d booked more than two nights, though the wineries nearby made the days very pleasant. We’ll return!

Chris and Ian went out of their way to meet my needs and those of my disabled wife. After speaking with them for five minutes, I felt as if I’d known them for five years. The room was clean and fully stocked, with a huge, well proportioned bedroom and an extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom was spectacular, and the garden beautiful. We had a full breakfast on checkout, the kind of spread that would cost $30 per person elsewhere. This is the best accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. I’d give Barkly Suites seven stars if I could. Next time I come up to Rutherglen, I plan to stay more than one day. You won’t be disappointed.

Chris cooked us a lovely breakfast, and we had a lovely outlook over the beautiful gardens from the large covered area off the lounge. At our first meeting with Chris and Ian, we felt right at home. The suite was amazingly spacious, with a king bed and a huge ensuite.
