The Old School House was great value, with a handy parking space and a good location. We stayed for three nights and loved the renovation, especially the underfloor heating and the open shower beneath a skylight. The mattress was quite firm and had dips, though, so we didn’t find the bed very comfortable.

We were sorry to leave Maud’s cottage. The owners made everything easy, and all the thoughtful little details gave the place a special charm. We especially loved the wood fire and the bath on the deck, where the retractable roof let us look up at the stars. Such a cosy spot for a romantic getaway, and we’d happily recommend it.

Old Maud’s Cottage was gorgeous and so cosy. We loved staying there, especially relaxing by the fireplace and enjoying the bath.

We spent 4D3N here, and the rooftop that opens at the touch of a button was such a lovely surprise. Since we’re from a city where stars are hard to see, gazing up at them before bed felt especially special. The patio fireplace was great in the cool weather, and we made s'mores there too. The cottage had parking and a utility shed, and the instructions sent beforehand made it easy to find. The owners’ notebook was handy for nearby petrol kiosks, supermarkets and cafes. I’d recommend it for a getaway.

The location worked really well for us in Hobart, with the supermarket a short walk away and an easy drive to pretty much everywhere else. The hosts were welcoming and clearly keep the place in good shape. Each unit has its own style, and ours was really well styled. There’s room for three cars behind the gate, plus plenty of street parking nearby. My only gripe was the internet, which kept dropping in and out. I’d still definitely stay again.
