We had great views of Mt. Wellington from the kitchen windows, especially in mid winter with snow falling on the mountain. Looking over the Derwent Estuary first thing in the morning was lovely too. The location was handy for Hobart City, Salamanca, Wrest Point and Sandy Bay centre.

A really convenient holiday base, with an easy walk into the city. The local shops had what we needed for the self contained units.

Our hosts really knew the area and its history, and were wonderful about helping us find our way. If you’re new to the area, take their suggested walk to get your bearings. We came without a car and enjoyed walking around to see the amazing old buildings and historical places. There were plenty of great places to eat, too.

We’ve been having a great time exploring Hobart and the surrounding areas. It’s so much easier to get ready and head out on the road when the accommodation is comfortable.

The hosts were always happy to help us with whatever we needed, from directions and tour ideas to food and sights. They even took us on a walking tour to Salamanca market. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
