BIG4 Sawtell Beach Holiday Park

We stayed in our van, so I can't comment on the rooms, but the amenities and location were great. Staff were very helpful and made check-in easy. We had a great stay at big 4 Sawtell and would definitely return. I'd happily recommend it to others.

There's plenty of space, and the bathrooms and kitchens were clean. The campground is well maintained and has a Croquet pitch, powered and unpowered sites, and access to the lagoon. There's no swimming pool for kids, but the council pool next door is available. The bowling club beside it has good food, and Sawtell Town is an easy walk away. Definitely recommend it for a weekend camp or longer 👍🏽

We had a credit and wanted to book one night on our way home from Queensland, but nobody answered either the park phone or the main multi-park office. Both said we'd hear back within 24 hours, and 27 hours later I'm still waiting. With us only two hours away, a 24-hour wait was no use anyway. It feels like they were happy to take our money and then forget about customer service. They don't seem to like refunding it either.

We had a quiet four-night stay on a concrete slab site. Getting the van onto the slab meant reversing in at an angle, since the road slope and the raised concrete made things scrape. The grounds and amenities were neat, clean and tidy, and staff were friendly. Our site was a bit of a walk from the amenities, though it wasn't a problem. The bowls club was a short trip away for Chinese food, and Sawtell's main street was only a minute down the road for cafes, the hotel or the RSL. I believe the pool by the park entrance is public, with free entry if you show your key tag. There's also creek access up near the cabins. You definitely book again.
