I’ve been living here long term for work and have absolutely loved my stay. The room is comfortable, well located, and the staff always keep it feeling clean and lovely. I have everything I need, and being central means I can walk to coles and other food outlets. You can hear the trains, but they’re audible pretty much anywhere along Scone because of how close the lines are, and they don’t really bother me. I can’t recommend this place enough.
We found Portman House while looking for an overnight stay in scone, and I’m so glad we booked it. The apartment was modern, clean, and really spacious, with super comfortable beds. The location is perfect, and parking behind the building was easy even with a trailer. We’ll definitely book again next time we’re in scone.
Traveling with my missus and bub, we arrived late, but that was no problem, and there was plenty of room for the port a cot in the studio apartment. The place has large rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly, approachable service. The continental breakfast was above standard too. It’s a great apartment, better than some $500 a night places I’ve stayed at. Great work, Erin and Co. If we’re back this way, we’ll stay again.
The owner is incredibly helpful. When I needed a replacement hot plate, they brought one over within minutes, even in a rainstorm. The apartments are lovely, and having laundry machines in each unit makes this my favorite place to stay in Australia. Portman House is easy and hassle free, with a perfect location whether you’re passing through or staying in Scone. I’d absolutely recommend giving it a try.
Great value for a very good apartment on the main street, close to food. The room was clean, and the little balcony was a nice touch.
