Terri and David made us feel like family, with hospitality you just don’t get at a commercial hotel. David modestly calls himself a bush cook, but his skills are impressive, and he comes up with something new for breakfast each morning that suits my dietary needs. We loved the delicious breakfasts. The peaceful setting was so lovely that I forgot about my phone and just took in the surroundings. It’s a beautiful retreat, about 20 minutes from Denmark, three minutes from Ducketts Mill Wines and Denmark Farmhouse Cheese, and ten minutes from the dam and chocolate factory, which make for fun outings.

Our last-minute change of plans brought us here when the weather ruled out staying in a tent. Terri and David gave us a warm welcome, and that kindness continued throughout the stay. There were smiles, lively chats, local stories, a hearty breakfast and the cows to keep us entertained. It felt like a home away from home, and we’d happily recommend a visit. A lovely place to spend two nights. David and Terri were so warm and welcoming. If you need a couple of days away from busy city life to unwind and detox, I highly recommend staying here.

The hosts were so lovely that even though we were thousands of kilometres from home, we felt like we were staying with family. The rooms were clean and nice, with a lovely view, and breakfast was the best we had in Western Australia. The location is beautiful, with wineries and other tasting farms nearby, and the sunset from there is incredible. I recommend this accommodation 200%!

The grounds are lovely for easy walks, and we enjoyed watching the animals during the day. At night, the stars are amazing. Just a short drive from Denmark, this quiet oasis sits on a hill with beautiful views of the surrounding area. The rooms are well appointed and have views too. David and Terri went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. Breakfast was beautiful, with something different each day. Well worth a visit when you’re staying nearby, highly recommended.
