Giovanni gave a great commentary during the generous wine tasting and clearly knows his stuff. Castelli wines were excellent, and the garden setting made a lovely backdrop. The homemade Italian food and hospitality were just as good. We had a wonderful time and will return.

Those last two nights of our holiday were such a treat. Giovanni and his wife made us feel right at home, and we loved the delicious wine and tapas. Our room was clean and cosy, with a lovely vineyard view that reminded us of Italy. A real little gem.

The food was the highlight again on our second visit. Dinner was spot on: I had garlic prawns, then Angus with prawns, while my wife chose pork lollipops followed by ribs. Breakfast the next day, feta and double-smoked back on sourdough, was brilliant. Service was prompt, and the same woman who served us last year was there again. It’s a hidden gem, especially compared with the average meals in Albany, and good value too. One night for two adults and a child, including dinner, wine, water and breakfast, came to $430. The rooms aren’t spacious and the showers are compact, but the beds are comfortable and we slept well. Amenities are basic. Our first stay over a year ago was excellent, and thankfully the chef and staff were the same this time. 4/5.

We spent a few nights here in March, just before the WA borders closed, while doing some sightseeing. The room felt fresh and was very clean, and the setting was beautiful. Food and wine were amazing, with faultless service throughout. I loved the whole stay and would definitely come back one day. Highly recommended.
