Courtyard Motor Inn

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the motel was clean, quiet and comfortable for a budget stay. Rooms range from twin beds to family setups, with tea and coffee provided. The bathrooms are dated but clean and functional, and the shower and spa bath had excellent water pressure. There’s plenty of off-street parking, and it’s a 7 or 8 minute walk to Shepparton’s central business area. The town has a friendly, harmonious multicultural community and lots of international food options. I’d recommend the Courtyard Motel if you want basic, affordable accommodation.

I found the sheets clean, which was a surprise, but I wouldn’t stay here again. The room had ants, and the bathroom needed a serious scrub because of built-up residue. Some tiles were missing, and the curtains had yellow marks from an air conditioner leak. The Wi-Fi PIN didn’t work. Outside, the pool was a filthy yellow-green with plastic floating on it, and the barbecue area was filthy too. It was hot weather, two weeks before Christmas. The photos are very deceptive, and nobody was at the front office. I couldn’t give the service even one star. There was none.

The room was dusty all over, including the books and table. The spa bath was filthy, with dirt and hair under the slip mat, and there was hair and string on the bathroom floor. The shower needed serious attention, as did the pool. There were also piles and piles of rubbish left outside. I booked a deluxe room, and if that’s how the deluxe rooms are left, I’d hate to see the standard ones. Absolutely disgusting!

The fridge was dirty, there were bugs in the bathroom, and the pool was green and filthy. The air conditioning barely worked, and neither the remote nor the Wi-Fi was working. We were given just one towel and a face washer for two people, with no extra towels. This was the worst motel I’ve ever stayed at.
