The tent itself was clean and comfortable for our four nights, and the sunsets really are amazing. The awkward parts were getting to the shared toilet and bathroom, about 50 metres away, especially at night even in perfect weather, and carrying our things back and forth since cars have to stay away from the campsite on sacred Aboriginal land. There were also hundreds of cockatoos making a huge racket at dawn, which might be fine if you’re an early riser.

It was lovely being so close to the beach and things to see around Port Stephens, while the area itself stayed quiet and peaceful. Sea View Villa #5 at Thou Walla Sunset Retreat had a beautiful view over the water and was clean, comfortable, and well equipped for our family. A great place to slow down and enjoy nature.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location made it easy to get to the things we wanted to do. I've stayed twice, once in a budget cabin and later in a glamping tent, and both times the beds were clean and comfortable. There’s a pool and laundry among the good facilities. If you need a budget place to stay, I’d recommend it. Book well ahead if you want to save some money. I’ll definitely come back.

Having to leave the car away from the safari tents was a bit of a pain, especially with the rain while we were there and all the trips back and forth. Still, I love the park. The staff are superb and friendly, the location is great, and we were treated to beautiful sunsets and lots of koala's.

There’s water all around, so it’s a lovely spot for swimming, fishing, or boating. The onsite pool is small but great, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our cabin was fresh and clean, with a great floorplan, and the amenities were very clean and well maintained.
