Mantra Southport Sharks

The hospital was very conveniently located nearby, and having restaurants and bars next door made things much easier during a difficult time. We needed an unexpected urgent check-in, and were deeply grateful for the kindness and compassion the staff showed us. Every person we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The facilities suit a stay of any length: everything was clean, well serviced and carefully looked after. In-room meals and service were excellent, with healthy, delicious food and good choices. The care from the staff made a real difference.

Everything was fantastic, including the conference facilities and meals for the ANBC Nationals. We did find the chairs uncomfortable for long stretches, like the 2.5 full days of sitting. Our accessible room was at the far end of the hall, furthest from the lift, which makes little sense for someone with mobility needs. One small thing I needed was a proper knife or scissors.

The rooftop bar was lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and its location worked really well while I was helping a family member recover from surgery, with both Gold Coast hospitals nearby. Woolworths and restaurants were close too. I’d happily recommend it.

Dion was very helpful with printing and scanning, and I appreciated that. My experience with the rest of the staff and hotel security was appalling. I felt there was discrimination related to ethnicity and sexual identity, which is disgraceful and reflects badly on the management. Guests overall seemed to be treated with little consideration. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. There are plenty of Gold Coast places with staff who care about their guests. Manta Southport DO NOT CARE about their guests. Shame on you Mantra Southport.
