The house was in terrible repair: broken windows, missing lights and fixtures, and a broken handle on the inside of the front screen door that made it impossible to get out that way in an emergency. There was also a big gap around the main bedroom window, open to the outside and letting in bugs, cockroaches and mosquitoes. We had to leave early and asked Margo to adjust the bill and get back to us. She agreed, but then tried to take the full payment without discussing it with us. This was the worst accommodation experience we've ever had. Avoid.

After a sad and stressful six months, a few days on the West Coast was just the break we needed. It's lovely being a tourist in your own State and finding a sweet place like Sarah cottage at Green Gate Cottages. The cottage was clean, quiet, comfortable and really homey. Margo was lovely to chat with and easy to communicate with before check-in. The owners clearly take pride in making sure it has the comforts of home. Thanks, Margo. I'd happily recommend the cottages to others.

The only confusing part was the bathroom, with two doors leading into the one bathroom, which could affect everyone's shower schedule. Otherwise, it's a very nice, clean house in a quiet town, with all the facilities we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, laundry, bedroom and living room. I'd recommend it for a group of friends.

Booking was easy, and the place felt like home. It was warm, very clean and lovely and comfy, with comfortable bedding and great water pressure. I'd definitely stay again.
