The kids had a great time fishing here, catching salmon, flathead and mullet, and they enjoyed the kayaks too. We stayed in our camper, though there are plenty of rooms available as well. River's Run is a beautiful spot in Southern Tasmania, about a 1.2-hour drive from Hobart. The on-site tavern has great food and drinks, just check with reception to see when it’s open. We loved our stay and will definitely come back.

A lovely place to stop and get away into the Tassie Bush. The hosts were welcoming and very accommodating. You can tell the owner genuinely cares about the property and keeps it well maintained. We had an amazing experience at this beautiful retreat. 👌

The food, view and location were all amazing. I’d have given it five stars if the service had been better. I asked for the Wi-Fi password so I could upload pictures and a five-star review, but was told they don’t give it out. It’s 2026!

We had such a peaceful, relaxing stay with the family in the cabins, with beautiful views over the bay. The cabins have six comfortable bunk beds, and the fake fireplace heater with its ambient lighting made for a cosy night in. The tavern is cute and charming, and the food was lovely. Tucked away along the Huon highway in Southern Tasmania, this place is an absolute gem. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and I really can’t recommend a stay here enough. 🏕🙌

The owner went out of his way to help me sort out a problem with my caravan, which I really appreciated. You can kayak right from the property, and the camp kitchen, lounge and BBQ area are all impressive. The amenities are very good, and the tavern serves excellent meals with friendly staff. It’s a great location with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, and the owner can’t do enough for you. I highly recommend River Run and will be back.
