Sunseeker Lodge

The bedroom carpet was soaked, and the washing machine and shower flooded and didn’t work. There were cockroaches and hair all over the floor as well. We were told to get towels and clean up the flooding ourselves, with no offer to move apartments or use another washing machine. We were here for a week for a wedding, and our apartment was dirty and older than the newly renovated ones our group stayed in, where everything worked. We paid very similar rates, which didn’t seem right given how poor ours was by comparison. Reception was super unhelpful. We wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

A nice, quiet spot. Our apartment was pretty decent, with a well-equipped kitchen. There was aircon only in the main living space, and fans in the bedrooms. I was a little disappointed that we had to pay extra for a baby cot.

We arrived around 2pm over the Easter long weekend for a stay in the two-bedroom apartment, but it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The kitchen bench hadn’t been wiped after the previous holidaymakers, one pillowcase was stained, and the single bed cover was dirty. I phoned about the pillowcase and they gave me a replacement. There were ants in the bathroom and all through the kitchen, and toe-nail clippings on the verandah. The apartment is older, but cleanliness shouldn’t be compromised.

The views were great, and the location worked well for cafes, restaurants, and the beach. But we stayed for two nights recently and the apartment was dirty. The surfaces hadn’t been wiped, the ceiling fans looked like they hadn’t been touched in a long time, and there was food under the couches. The apartment we got didn’t match the pictures advertising the place.
