The location was perfect, and my room was comfortable and immaculately clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I’m very pleased with the accommodation, wouldn’t hesitate to book again, and will definitely be back. 🤩

Good choice for families with young kids, with several pools, including a heated spa and warm pool. There isn’t much room in the rooms for clothes, but otherwise it was good.

The pool was a huge hit with our family. Having a properly heated pool was fantastic, and we had so much fun on the waterslides. The location is also great, opposite a patrolled beach and near attractions, a large shopping plaza and the highway. Parking was a bit confusing since the spaces with yellow dots aren’t assigned by room, but we managed fine. Our room was okay, with a lovely large balcony, but the furniture was dated and uncomfortable. The three-seat couch felt ridiculous for a room that sleeps five, and the beds weren’t comfortable either. The main bathroom and laundry were very small. The kitchen was well equipped in some ways, but we found the shortage of utensils, cooking dishes and storage containers frustrating. I’d asked for our family’s rooms to be near one another, but that wasn’t considered when they were allocated. The washing machine also had to be switched off at the wall for at least 15 minutes after every load. I reported this, and maintenance came, but said there were no spare front loaders available. Families can save for much of the year to holiday together, so I think BreakFree should uphold standards that keep the units safe and comfortable for the amount charged for a short stay. If owners won’t maintain units to that standard, guests should be able to see photos of the exact unit before booking, since units in the same category vary a lot. The website’s room photos are misleading because some units aren’t updated or modern. Basic standards should include comfortable, updated furniture and enough seats for everyone staying, as well as screen doors onto balconies to keep bugs and flies out and help parents feel at ease with young children.

The residents below us were rude and smoked constantly, which made the balcony impossible to use. That was a real disappointment, though the staff went out of their way to help and handled it with a lot of care and professionalism. Their response stood out. Our unit was spotless and comfortable, with a great bed and everything we needed. It was a bit aged, but clean and fully functional, so that didn’t bother us. We loved the location, facilities and overall feel of BreakFree Alexandra Beach, and every staff member we dealt with was friendly and helpful. We still had a great stay and would absolutely return.
