The little touches at 57 Hotel made it feel welcoming, especially the complimentary coffee machine and snacks in the foyer. I stayed in July 2025 while my Melbourne Storm play at nearby Allianz Stadium at Moore Park. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom got plenty of natural light, particularly in a room facing Foveaux Street. There are cafes, pubs and restaurants just metres away, with plenty more dining options up toward Surry Hills or down toward Central Station. Transport is close, and the sporting and theatre venues are walkable or easy to reach by public transport. The location felt reasonably safe, away from hotspots like the train station and nearby parks, though it's still a big city, so take care. Walking around is good, but Foveaux Street and the surrounding area are hilly. If you don't mind some inclines, it's a nice place to stay.

It was my birthday during the stay, and the team left a handwritten card and chocolates in my room. Such a thoughtful surprise, it made my day. Reception staff were lovely from the moment I arrived, especially Arianne. Thanks again for a really nice stay!

Surry Hills is a great area to explore, with lovely local food and boutique shops, and Central Station is less than a five minute walk away. The train also gets you to the CBD and Harbour quickly when you want a busier scene. The staff were very accommodating. I had a problem with my original room, and the manager whose name starts with A went out of their way to move me to an upgraded room. My only concern was that the doors don't have bolts, which I would have appreciated as a female traveler, though the hotel felt safe.

Even with its central spot in Darlinghurst, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, which I put down to it being brand new. I stayed in a Dancing Queen room and loved the modern, sleek touches, fun fit-out and genuinely relaxing feel. The room was well appointed, and the reception team were great. The top floor bar was fantastic too. Breakfast on the hotel's first day was delicious, and the coffee was hot and good. I'm planning to come back monthly when I visit the hospital across the road. I couldn't have asked for more. See you again soon!

The staff were friendly and happy to help with my requests, and it was really quiet at night. The location worked well for what I needed. I had a great four-night stay, with a spacious, bright room, a fun layout and design, and a quirky bathroom setup.
