Adina Apartment Hotel Coogee Sydney

The apartment's size and location were definite strengths. I stayed for a week with two teenagers in a spacious two-bedroom place, just steps from the beach, public transport and shops. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the full kitchen had a large fridge and freezer. Paid parking was mostly hassle-free. A number of things needed attention but weren't fixed during our stay. Cleaning was inconsistent, the bathroom drained poorly, and the main bathroom fan was broken, so humidity built up, especially when the dryer was running. The dishwasher worked but showed a drainage error after each cycle. Only one elevator was working, and it was slow. Kitchen equipment was very basic, so I had to buy or ask for simple items. There were also a lot of insects and cockroaches. I know they're common in Sydney, but there were too many here. I was especially disappointed that there was no cleaning on 1 January because of the cost, despite the high nightly rates. I cooked every day, so basic cleaning mattered, but there weren't any cleaning tools. I had to request a vacuum cleaner, and the staff member who helped was courteous and helpful. The location and spacious apartment are big positives, but the property felt under-serviced, with little maintenance and inconsistent staff friendliness. It seems to rely on its prime location to justify the price.

The location is great, and it's good value for a short stay. Parking was easy and convenient. The rooms are modern, nice, clean and smell good. It felt cool walking in from the heat outside, and the staff were helpful. I would have liked a balcony to sit on, but ours only had an air conditioning unit. We asked about getting a balcony room, but they were all booked. I was worried after seeing a couple of bad cleanliness reviews, then felt relieved as soon as I arrived. I'll certainly stay again.

I reckon this kind of place beats a regular hotel. The room was fairly spacious, with a shady, quiet balcony, and there’s laundry on every floor, I think. Coogee Beach is about 200 meters away.

Everything we needed was in the spacious, really nice apartment. It’s an easy walk to Coogee beach, the cricket ground and a few restaurants.
