The pool was a real highlight. It felt like a little oasis despite being right on Oxford Street, and we spent a couple of lovely hours there with cocktails, food and a DJ who brought the place to life. The Margaritas and club sandwich deserve a mention, and Maria took wonderful care of us on Saturday afternoon, checking in often. Oxford House, she's worth her weight in gold. We stayed three nights in an Oxford Deluxe room and would happily return. It wasn't huge, but had what we needed: tea and coffee, a small fridge, good bathroom products, a very comfortable bed, sliding doors and a little balcony facing Oxford Street. Noise starts around 4:30am as Paddington wakes up, though we didn't find it too bad. Storage was the one real compromise. The whole team was friendly, professional and efficient, and made us feel looked after. Thanks for a fantastic weekend.

The pool was nice and quiet, and there are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. Our room was small, but cosy and did the job. The wood on the headboard and feature wall worked really well, credit to the designer.

Small, compact rooms, but they looked cool and were perfectly fine for a couple of nights. The staff were really friendly, and the location is great, with lots of shops, cafes and bars close by. Had a great stay.

The staff were friendly, and Busby's was a good spot for a drink, especially during happy hour. The pool area is lovely too, though its bar only opens Friday to Sunday, so we missed out during our midweek stay. The location is convenient for pubs and the like, and the bed was very comfortable. It sat a little low, which made getting up harder for me as I'm not young. The room itself was tiny. The verandah barely fits one person, the bathroom is like a closet, and the shower is also only big enough for one, which wasn't ideal for a romantic weekend. Hanging space was atrocious. There's a large seat with drawers underneath, but no handles, so they were difficult to open. We ended up putting all our things there because there was nowhere else for luggage. A proper wardrobe and a table and chairs would have made better use of the room. For $40 more a night, we could have stayed at the Pullman in Hyde Park, a 5 star with exceptional service. Definitely doing that next time. I won't be back to Oxford House.

The pool, food and location were positives, but we couldn't sleep in our room facing Oxford Street. With no double glazing, the road sounded like the M1 all night, with trucks, cars and motorbikes. I've since read several reviews mentioning the same noise. The hotel was fully booked, so nothing could be done for us at the time. I'm very disappointed that a place trying to offer a boutique stay seems to ignore the repeated complaints about the road. They need double glazing, or rooms at the front on Oxford Street should cost ALOT less. Paying for a deluxe room and getting this was very disappointing.
