Azzurro Pod Hotel Darling Harbour

Ali was a big help during my stay, and I’ll definitely come back. The meals were good too, both breakfast and dinner. I expected a good place from the rating, but it was actually excellent. Not having a physical reception seemed a little unusual at first, but remote communication worked really well and the staff responded quickly whenever I needed something.

I’ve stayed here several times and have always had a good experience. Shella at reception was helpful with problems and extensions, and the location meant quieter nights, with fewer party animals and more mature travellers than I’ve found at Mad Monkey or YHA. I’d personally choose one of the smaller rooms. Every dorm bed has blackout curtains, a personal light and outlets. The bathrooms could be cleaner, and more comfortable places to socialize would be good, though that seems to be a common issue with hostels in Sydney. With breakfast and dinner included, I think it’s great value.

Shella made a real difference during our stay. She takes care of reservations and sorts out any issues, and she was always friendly, easy to approach and efficient whenever we needed help. Everything was organized and comfortable from the start, and the service was better than I expected. I’d recommend the hostel and would gladly stay here again.

The kitchen had lots of cooking utensils and was convenient to use. I also appreciated that the room was much cleaner than it had been three months ago. Shella helped confirm my reservation, and everything went smoothly. I had a great stay.
