Best Western Twin Towers Inn

We were booked for nine nights in dirty, outdated rooms with roach issues, and had to be moved. It was very overpriced. After that long stay, they rudely refused us a late checkout. I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation to anyone. Stay clear and book elsewhere. I might not have left a review over the simple requests alone, but the rude reception service topped it off.

The location is convenient, very close to Royal North Shore Hospital, and yes, we’d stay here again. The bed and bathroom were very clean, which is what we want. Getting there by car and parking were easy, and the day staff were welcoming and helpful. The night receptionist, Jay, though I’m not sure about the spelling, wasn’t helpful at all and came across as cocky. I needed an extension cord because the PowerPoint was too close to the floor for the transformer on my mini cpap machine. He said he’d ask housekeeping, but after waiting two hours with no call back, I rang him. He said there were no extension cords. I bought one at Bunnings the next day. I also rang reception to ask if day staff were as cocky as the night staff. The day team were professional and courteous, and the lady said they had a variety of extension cords at reception and I could come choose the one I needed.

The rooms were really clean, and the bathroom looks to have been recently renovated, which was nice. Easy after-hours check-in and the air con worked great. They just need smart TVs so I can log into my streaming services.

The staff are warm, friendly, welcoming and caring, and seem perfect for people staying for the hospital. I had to stay at Twin Towers while doing something with SBS. It’s a lovely 10-minute downhill walk to the studios. Coming back from the studios, I suppose it depends how much you like walking. I strongly recommend calling them to book instead of using booking apps like booking.com.
