Brooklyn Motel

The beds were really comfortable, and the motel is clearly well looked after. We spent a couple of nights here while doing the Postman's Run and had a lovely time. The bedroom was large, and the location worked well. For breakfast, there’s a great cafe by the waterfront, and the Hotel across the street serves very good food.

It was an easy stay from check-in to check-out. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and had the basics we needed, and all of Brooklyns businesses were within walking distance. I’d recommend the place and would gladly come back.

Brooklyn is a beautiful part of the world, and the Brooklyn Motel made my four-night visit brilliant. Owner Tom was exceptionally helpful, and the room had everything I needed. The bed was especially good, perfect for a solid night’s sleep. I came by train, so the station only 150 metres away was ideal. Parking may be a problem if you drive, since plenty of people know about Brooklyn. The Angler’s Rest pub is right across the street, too, and was an important part of the location for me. If you haven’t visited before, do it and stay at the Brooklyn Motel.

The service was good, the location was great, and the bed was comfortable. The room we had this time does need some maintenance, though. The pillows are old and lumpy and should be replaced. There was noticeable mould on the bathroom floor tiles and inside the shower, which needs to be removed with bleach, and the door lock handle is loose. Taking care of those things would make this a five-star stay. I’m sure the owners will sort them out now that they know.
