We wanted a peaceful trip at this Norfolk house over the Queen's birthday long weekend, but left very disappointed. The house is badly outdated, and the owner didn’t deal with a serious safety issue. On Sunday night, a light bulb and its cover suddenly broke loose in the lounge room with a thunderous bang, leaving broken glass everywhere. We had four children with us; thankfully they were outside the room, and nobody was hurt, but it really scared us. Afterward, we wrote to the owner and got no apology or compensation. We were frustrated and definitely wouldn’t recommend this holiday house. Terrible.
