Wiley Park Hotel

Yuck. The only thing they have is sort of friendly service, as they don’t have much else to offer in the rooms. The place needs huge renovations. There was mould all over the bathroom, the floors were sticky, and the rooms smelled like cigarettes. The hot water was inconsistent, either too hot or too cold. I cancelled after the first night and didn’t get a refund for the extra nights. Never going back.

We’d booked in advance, but it hadn’t gone through the system and someone was already in our room. It took a while to get another room. The sheets, covers and blanket there were dirty and stained, and the room smelled of cigarettes. It was disappointing compared with the photos.

The bathroom and windows were mouldy, the whole place stank of cigarettes, and the hygiene was very poor. It took 10 minutes for hot water to come through, and even then the water only dribbled out. There was one chair for two people and no kettle in the room. Just a gross, yuk feeling. This is the worst dump I’ve ever stayed in, with nothing positive to say. Bookings dotcom should be ashamed to list it.

Small place, but cozy, and I liked the vibe. The staff were really friendly and the food was great and authentic. Would definitely come back.
