Paradox Sydney

The Heritage room was spacious, with lovely high ceilings, and the location made it easy to get around. Circular Quay and Darling Harbour were both a short walk away. Breakfast was fairly priced, and the à la carte choices worked for everyone, including the teenagers: bacon and egg burgers, Bircher muesli, pancakes and omelettes. We also liked the bar for an early evening drink, especially with its snack menu. The staff everywhere were amazing and couldn't have been more helpful. We can't fault the hotel and will definitely return. A perfect stay, thank you!

The location is hard to beat, with Circular Quay just a few minutes away on foot and Darling Harbour and the Rocks not much farther. There was construction around the hotel, which wasn't great, but it didn't spoil the stay. The staff at every level were super friendly and well trained. Rooms were large, modern, clean and well equipped, with things like an iron and board, safe, coffee machine and good TV. The bathroom was big and clean, with both a shower and bathtub. The restaurant, bar, breakfast, gym, spa and indoor pool were all good. My main complaint was the elevators. Even with three of them, during busy times we waited 5-12 minutes. The stairs only go down, since security means you can't use them to reach the room floors.

I've been back several times over the past 10 years, and the service and value were just as good on my latest visit as ever. It was my first stay since the change from Radisson Blue to Paradox. The hotel is well placed, only a few minutes' walk from Wynyard or Martin Place stations, and the main Sydney City attractions are easy to reach on foot. The buffet breakfast is very good too, if you add it to your stay.

The staff were polite and patient, and the service was excellent. My room was clean and comfortable. The spot is ideal for shopping and exploring the city, and Sydney opera house is only about a 15-minute walk away. I had a great stay and would pick this place next time.
