Quest Chatswood

For an overnight stay, it's a convenient spot close to everything, with lovely, fresh and clean rooms and great service. Check-in and check-out were easy. My partner called on the day to change the booking into his name, and there was no problem. The only hassle was parking: you have to pay, and for check-in or checkout we had to park around the corner and walk a few minutes. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

After checkout, there was a problem with our deposit refund, which turned out to be due to our overseas bank. Aly at reception was professional and really helpful. She checked all the records and made sure the refund went through successfully. Thanks so much for your help, Aly!

The apartment was spotless, and front-of-house staff were very helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the standard at Quest Chatswood. It's an excellent apartment with everything you could want for a longer stay. Parking is plentiful, though the entrance wasn't easy to find. I'd stay again and recommend it to others.

Our booking for four adults and one child was made on 18 November for a stay on 18 December. One family was travelling from New Zealand, so we'd planned this well ahead. At about 7:30 AM on 18 December, we got a call saying the reservation would be cancelled because of an electrical problem on the floor where our apartment was. We were preparing to travel, with our flight scheduled for 1:00 PM that day. I understand last-minute problems happen, but we expected the property to take responsibility and help find alternative accommodation. Instead, we were told, “the best we can do is cancel your reservation.” No alternative was offered at first. Only after we insisted were we told to contact Quest North Sydney ourselves, since they'd checked availability there. Nobody helped us directly or arranged a booking for us. We were left scrambling on travel day and had to book another hotel at the last minute, costing an extra AUD 400. It caused a lot of stress and inconvenience, and we were disappointed by the lack of support in a situation beyond our control. We expected a more responsible, guest-focused response from a property of this standard.
