Rosehill Hotel

I paid for a night's sleep and got none. My room had no water service and was extremely noisy beside the highway. Asking to change rooms didn't help. Then, after 3:30 am, unbearable noise started throughout the building, probably from the laundry or other machinery, and I couldn't sleep at all. I left exhausted and frustrated, having paid for nothing. This was a disgraceful stay, and I strongly warn people to avoid the place at all costs. After looking at the reviews, it seems many guests report the same issues and are unhappy. The hotel knows about them and still takes people's money without fixing anything. It shouldn't be operating as a hotel.

We walked in and couldn't find any staff at first. Eventually we found someone and ordered two beers at 4:10, after happy hour started at 4. We were told the deal was for members only, and only a 10% discount. We tried to sign up, but the registration and QR code weren't working properly. It took 20 minutes to get a beer, and the staff didn't know how to fix anything. We've just moved to the area, but won't be back. There's more atmosphere on Mars. The other pubs in Granville are so much better than this sad place.

The room felt like a tiny converted storage space, with no fan and poor ventilation. The online photos were completely misleading and didn't match the property's actual condition. Throughout the building, including the staircase, there was a constant cigarette smell mixed with a strong toilet odour. The shared toilets weren't clearly mentioned, and their condition was unacceptable. The whole place lacked basic hygiene, and I wouldn't consider it suitable for families, especially those with children. For $115, the room was unreasonable. Given its condition, I don't think it's worth more than $20. This was honestly the worst hotel I've stayed in. I'm shocked it's approved and listed on Wotif. I strongly recommend that reviews and removes the listing so other families don't have the same experience.

The staff were very friendly, which was the best part of the stay. The room was dirty, the TV didn't work, and a ticking noise went on all night. The communal toilets were dirty too. Maybe that's what you should expect for $120 a night?
