We stayed at 'Solitary View' many years ago, and recently came across it again while looking through old photo albums. It really is a fitting name. Even though it's on the edge of the lovely town of Wentworth Falls, the place feels secluded, surrounded by nature. Wentworth Falls and neighbouring Katoomba made it a perfect base for exploring the Blue Mountains National Park. We were a group of British friends, and the house had everything we hoped for. It felt typically 'Aussie', just as we'd imagined from the soap 'Neighbours'. There was a beautiful, private garden and a great deck for BBQs. I'm sure the decor has been updated by now, but at the time it was exactly what we wanted. The area was peaceful, with easy access to a lake and viewpoints for the National Park.
