Song Hotel Sydney

The breakfasts were very good, with lots to choose from: cooked options, cold meats and salads, cakes, fresh fruit, juices, and cereals. I also ate in the kitchen restaurant three evenings. The service was friendly and excellent, the meals were reasonably priced, and I could charge them to my room. At checkout on Saturday 31/01/26, around 9:45am, I paid for those meals. I arrived at Song Hotel Sydney on Thursday 22/01/26 for nine nights. Reception staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. I had an Accessible Queen Room 626 on level 6. It was very clean and had enough room for one guest. The bathroom was spacious, with a seat to use while showering, excellent water pressure, and spotless towels. In the room there was complimentary tea and coffee, a small fridge and safe, a TV I hardly watched, a little outside balcony to relax on, good air conditioning, and excellent WI-FI. I missed having complimentary drinking water, somewhere to hang clothes, and drawers. The only option was hanging clothes on the wall by the entrance or putting them over the two small chairs. Most nights were quiet enough, but I only got about four good nights of sleep out of nine. Guest doors slammed, people shouted in the street, and other guests talked loudly on their balconies into the early hours. For AUD $2,109.54 through Expedia, including breakfast for nine nights, I thought the price was very reasonable, especially given the convenient location, a five-minute walk to museum station, and the local buses. I lived in Sydney for 26 years, and this was my first visit back from Brisbane in eight years. I hope to book here again when I revisit.

Our room was on the small side compared with other hotels we've stayed in, but that didn't take away from how much we enjoyed it. It was nicely styled, well appointed, and very clean, and the staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and a charming restaurant. The location is excellent, about a 15-minute walk to the CBD shopping precinct and Central Station, and 25 minutes to cirular Quay. There are plenty of public transport options nearby too. It was very reasonably priced, and this is now our go-to hotel when we visit Sydney.

I hadn't planned to stay at Song Hotel, since I already had somewhere else booked, but switching saved a little and included breakfast. Such a good decision. Staff were lovely and attentive, and the hotel was very clean. The rooms are small, but work well for solo travellers; couples and families can upgrade to a bigger room. Breakfast was good. I didn't try the bar or dining area, though they offer discounts and happy hour, and it was always busy when I headed out. The location is perfect for getting around. It was my first time in Sydney, and I could walk to most of the landmarks. Depending on your pace, the harbour and opera house are under 20 minutes away, and Sydney central takes under 15 minutes. Public transport is close by, and the staff know the trams, trains, and buses if you want to get somewhere quicker. You can take public transport to the domestic airport, or an Uber back isn't too bad either. Hyde Park is next door, and a right turn at Oxford street gets you the 333 bus to Bondi Beach. The city centre can get noisy, but the rooms are soundproofed well enough that it wasn't too disturbing. My room was cleaned every day, and overall I was a very satisfied traveller. I'd stay again. The restaurant was very good, breakfast had lots of choice and was excellent, and the rooms were clean. The self-service laundry was really useful. The city location is great, though you can hear people in the corridor, so the rooms could use better soundproofing.
