Coogee Bay Boutique Hotel

Our travel plans went sideways and we had to change dates, but Vicki managed to fit us in and even gave us a complimentary upgrade. The room had everything we needed, plus a lovely balcony, lots of space, and beautiful bathroom products. They also offered parking for our over-height van. The location was brilliant, and we had a wonderful few days.

The room was spacious and lovely, and Coogee Bay Boutique Hotel is in a fantastic location. But traveling with a baby made the room assignment a real problem: we were on the second floor in the part of the building without a lift. There was nowhere safe to leave the pram downstairs, so we had to carry it up and down two flights whenever we went out. Street sounds and the pub downstairs came straight through the very thin windows. We and our baby barely slept for three nights, so we checked out early and missed the final night. There was also a worrying window safety issue. The room’s window seat was level with a double-hung window that opened at the bottom, and one window opened wide enough for a child to fall out, especially from the second floor. The location really is excellent, but the noise could use some acoustic treatment. If you need a lift for a pram, mobility, or any other reason, make sure to request a room in the section of the hotel that has one.

Coogee is our favourite part of Sydney, and this hotel was just right for the break we needed after a challenging 2025. We found the rooms comfortable and could easily walk to the shops, beach, and coastal walks. The people were lovely too. Highly recommend.

The reception gentleman who checked us in was one of the nicest people I’ve been welcomed by at a front desk. Natasha from events was prompt, courteous, and helpful as well. The rooms were really nice, clean, full of charm, and had comfortable beds.
