The location is a real plus, right by the train station with buses nearby, and the reception area is genuinely nice. There’s also a pool table and a little cinema area at the entrance. Still, this was a horrible hostel. It has potential, but please sort it out. Each floor has around XX guests sharing only 2-3 toilets. They’re consistently dirty and never have soap. The showers are just as filthy, and one bathroom has had a broken lock for ages, with only a warning sign instead of a repair. The whole place has a persistent bad smell. Rooms are freezing, springs poke through the beds, and the duvets and pillows feel cheap and thin. The kitchen is tiny for the number of guests and kept in a disgusting state. Parking is a nightmare. There’s nowhere in the area to park until 10pm, and if you find a spot, you have to move by 7am. During our stay, all three guests in our room were subjected to another guest behaving in an extremely inappropriate and disturbing way. That was outside the hostel’s control, to be fair, but it’s a risk to know about with a shared dorm.

The location was great for getting around, with buses, trains, a supermarket, and the bay all an easy walk away, about 10 minutes to the water. I especially loved the rooftop, a great place to relax and meet people. This is a beautiful hostel in the heart of Kings Cross, such a unique part of Sydney! It was clean and tidy, and the amenities helped make my stay comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. They even changed my room quickly and without hassle, which made me feel well looked after. The other guests were respectful. I’d highly recommend it if you want a stay that leaves you with wonderful memories.

There are lots of people staying here for a while, so it’s easy to make a few friends. The room was great, and I liked that the bathrooms are separate and each has a shower. I haven’t tried the laundry yet, but so far I’m quite impressed.

It’s cleaner than most hostels in Sydney, and a lot of the guests are in their 20s rather than older. Events on Fridays and Saturdays make it easy to socialize and get to know almost everyone staying here. One of the best hostels in Sydney.

The beds were clean and comfortable, and there was a good communal area. We also got a simple breakfast with bread and cereal, which was a nice surprise, though the bread goes quickly and runs out fast. Bathrooms could use some hand wash. It’s a good value hostel in a convenient spot, next door to Kings X station and within walking distance of the city. There are plenty of nearby options for convenience food. We had a pleasant stay.
