Windradyne Boutique Bed & Breakfast

Mornings were a pleasure, with Veronica’s delicious breakfasts and long, fun conversations with the other couple staying there at the same time. Our room looked out over Echo Point too, and there was cheeky homemade chocolate cake. We had a lovely stay, and Veronica was so warm and welcoming.

Veronica always made sure our stay was going well and gave us helpful tips about places to eat and things to do nearby. Breakfast was great, with plenty of hot and cold choices and generous portions to set us up for hikes. The Windradyne Bed and Breakfast is a beautifully decorated home full of antiques, a lovely change from a standard modern hotel room. We had an amazing stay that felt like stepping back in time, with a perfect spot looking across echo point.

Veronica’s attention to detail was incredible, and breakfast was a real masterpiece. The rooms and facilities were amazing, and the location was stunning. I know this may sound a bit flowery, but our two nights really were exceptional.

We stayed in the Wimlah Suite, and it was stunning, with mountain views, a four-poster bed, roll-top bath and gas flame fireplace. So cosy and luxurious. Veronica had left port and chocolate in our room, a lovely touch. Tea and coffee are always available in the dining room, and she also offers morning tea if you’re around. We had full breakfasts every day, delicious and just as you’d expect from home cooking. Thank you, Veronica, for a wonderful stay! Veronica is the kindest host, and the view is wow. You’re literally across the road from the 3 Sisters, close to the bus route at Echo Point, and getting to Scenic World and Katoomba town centre is easy. You’ll need a taxi back if you’re coming home later in the day, though. There’s a rank right outside Katoomba train station. The mountain air was so fresh.
