The room was dusty, and breakfast was underwhelming, nowhere near restaurant quality. The biggest problems, though, were the spa bath and getting hold of the owners. When we arrived, we were told the spa bath was completely out of action. They hadn't told us beforehand or offered compensation, and springing it on us in the room felt like they expected us to just accept it. The phone number printed throughout the booklet was wrong, so we couldn't contact them during our stay. That was frustrating and felt like a safety risk. When we raised the spa issue in person on the second morning, the owner barely acknowledged our disappointment. He asked what compensation we thought we deserved, then said they couldn't offer much because of the coupon code we'd used and the effect on their margins. Terrible service, and no way to run a business.

The main living room has huge sliding glass doors opening onto amazing views, and watching the sunset there with the cheese platter and champagne was a lovely touch. Mike was a wonderful host and cooked a lovely breakfast. He also rebuilt the fireplace in our room with fresh wood each day. The rooms are individually styled and lovely. I'd recommend staying at Avocado Sunset.

Breakfast was my favourite part, it was delicious. Our own balcony looked out over the bush, with a beautiful sunset view, and the spa was wonderful to soak in. The beds were super comfortable too. I loved the hosts and the house's tasteful decor, which still had a cosy antique feel. A lovely visit to Avocado B&B.

Mel & Jilly made me feel so welcome, even though I'd booked and arrived late on a public holiday. The B&B is in a very quiet area, and I slept incredibly well. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. A perfect place to stay when visiting Mount Tamborine.

We stayed in the romantic Safari Room, with its four-poster bed, huge spa bath, and private balcony. The views across the treetops were especially lovely, and breakfast was both delicious and enormous. Jilly and Mel were friendly hosts who went out of their way to make us comfortable and make the stay memorable. Our time at Avocado Sunset Bed & Breakfast on Tamborine Mountain was unforgettable. Highly recommend it for a romantic getaway.
