Mason Wines

The setting was nice and the wine was good, but the service was disappointing. Other tables were offered water, while we had to ask twice and were forgotten both times. Our wine and food arrived before even a glass of water. The food was hit or miss. My partner enjoyed the duck pate and roasted duck, but my smoked salmon didn't seem smoked and felt like it came from a packet. The grilled salmon came with two pieces of broccoli and was bland, nothing special. We each had one glass of wine. After spending $230, I feel there are better places to spend your money.

We had a delicious lunch at Mason Wines, and the staff made the whole visit special. Even though the kitchen was close to closing, the chef warmly welcomed us and made an exception for us. The food was all super delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience from beginning to end. With its beautiful outlook in the heart of Mount Tamborine and exceptional customer service, it's a lovely way to spend an afternoon in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

We had a lovely catch-up lunch with friends on the deck, and everyone enjoyed their chosen meal. My steak was superb, and my wife enjoyed the chicken. The service and wine were great too, including the cabernet sauvignon and bubbly. It's a beautiful location, and I'd recommend it to locals and visitors from interstate or overseas. We'll definitely return and check out the onsite accommodation next time.

There were six of us for lunch, and some of the group did a wine tasting beforehand. We liked the wines, and everyone enjoyed their meal. My pasta was delicious, and we had a lovely lunch overall. Prices were on the high side, though. We thought $69 for the fish of the day was a bit much for what you got. We didn't stay here and hadn't realised accommodation was available. We'll return.
