Stoney Park

There was lots for everyone to do, and plenty of space to walk the puppies. I slept better than I have in ages. It’s a hidden gem if you’re after some peace and quiet. Thanks, I’d highly recommend staying here.

The water park was unreal, and my daughter didn’t want to leave. There’s also a lovely swimming area with beautiful water, big enough for all ages, plus a separate shallow area for children under 10. Kids can play on the playground, and there’s a huge grassy space for sports, volleyball and basketball. The BBQ areas were great too. Our powered caravan site was spacious, clean and well cared for. The grounds staff were kind and accommodating, even lending us a water tap fitting. Facilities were consistently clean, with hand soap stocked in the bathrooms. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, and the receptionist clearly explained how to find our site. I think this is the best caravan park we’ve stayed at. Huge credit to everyone who looks after it, we had so much fun.

We weren’t allowed a fire at our site and were told to take a firepit out to the open paddock if we wanted one. On our first night, the caretaker lady came by at 9:30 pm and rudely told us to be quiet, even though quiet time was supposed to start at 10. We had no music on, just playing cards, laughing and having a good time. She also yelled at my son to get out of the shower, saying showers were limited to three minutes. This park seems suited to retirees and people who are in bed by 9 pm.

Check-in was easy, and the little park was lovely and quiet. The dog-friendly cabins were a bit outdated, but fine for dogs. We were cold overnight because there were no doonas on the beds. The showers kept switching from boiling hot to freezing cold every 10 seconds. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay.
