Lees Hotel

I'm staying at lees while working away. It's an awesome pub with great accommodation, and Thursday steak night is amazing 👌 Liam behind the bar made my stay. He's a great bartender, really friendly and full of banter. If you visit or stay here, say hi to liam and leave him a generous tip 😅

The steak was the best I've ever had. I was here for a work function and ate in the back bistro, ordering the ribbon eye. It was so tender I could pull it apart with a fork, and everyone on the take said it was the best meal they'd had in ages. Brook on staff was awesome, friendly and brilliant, and made the stay complete. I'll definitely stay here again.

We only stopped in for lunch. The place looked lovely, and they brought water for our two little dogs while we sat outside. The meal was average but still nice. The cold beer was good, the two ribs were tasty though the other bits were pure fat, and the deep fried chicken and chips were tasty.

I arrived after a long trip and was told my room key had been lost. The room they gave me hadn't been cleaned or made up, and the next one smelled terrible. I waited over an hour just to settle in. I tried more than five times to speak with the manager about this. When I arrived late, the barman said the manager wasn't available and he couldn't give me the manager's number or call them, only take a message. The next morning another bartender also said she could only send a message. Then I called the venue four times and spoke with three different staff members, but none could put me through. I've never seen a hotel/pub where only bartenders handle everything and the manager can't be reached by guests. So, manager, I'm describing what happened in the hope someone responsible sees it.
