Motel Ingham

Our rented campervan broke down, and Bec, the hotel manager, was friendly and helpful from start to finish. She even drove us to Townsville so we could catch our bus when we had no other way to get there. I honestly can't thank her enough. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, and the price was very reasonable. 10/10, would recommend to anyone after cheap accommodation near shops, bars and restaurants.

Booking was straightforward, and the place is close to town and the shops. My room was clean and tidy, with tea and coffee supplied, and the bed was very comfortable. There was good off-street parking too. A great place to stay, and I'll return if I'm back in the area.

I left a brand new phone charger block and cable in the room and called as soon as I got to Townsville airport. They said they hadn't seen them but would check with the cleaners and call back. No one ever did. I know I left them there, so either they're lying, they took them, or they simply can't be bothered to give honest service. Poor service. Avoid.

The room showed its age a bit, but it was clean, very comfortable and well equipped with a microwave, crockery, tea and coffee. There was a bench with high stools, a comfy armchair and foot stool, plus complimentary cold water bottles. I had the best sleep in ages. It's an easy walk to town and Tyto Wetlands.
