The prawns were tasty, and the garlic and sweet chilli topping had just the right balance. I had the rump, thick and cooked spot on medium rare, with crispy chips and fresh salad in balsamic dressing. One of the best pub meals I’ve had in a long time. Great meal.

The food tasted okay overall, and the staff were welcoming in a nice, clean pub. But the pasta was overcooked and so creamy it looked more like soup. My steak came out medium well instead of medium rare, and the mushroom sauce had a pudding like consistency. We were the only two customers eating, so the bloke cooking could have taken more care.

We only ate at the restaurant. My husband enjoyed his Banger & Mush, but my Barramundi was a bit dry, and the vegetables were frozen.

The atmosphere was what you’d expect at a good pub. The staff could use some Guinness pouring lessons, though. You’d think they’d know better in a pub.

The room itself was tidy and clean, but the music was too loud, and people were fighting and carrying on well past midnight. Police should have been called. I’ve always stayed here when visiting, but never again.
