My booking through Booking.com had been confirmed and paid in full when Nicola from the units called asking for my card details over the phone, including the security code. She said it was in case “we walk out with their tv,” which struck me as a strange thing to suggest, and I wasn't comfortable sharing those details. When I refused, she told me the booking was cancelled. Since it wasn't my choice not to stay, I plan to ask Booking.com for a refund for the non-refundable booking for March 6th. I wouldn't recommend renting from someone who treated me so rudely.

The rooms we stayed in worked well for children, with baby gates and high door handles, and the office staff were friendly. It's a five-minute walk to the rock pool, so this was a great family holiday spot and we'd come back next time. The only drawback was that the smoko area has no rain cover, though the trees give it lovely shade all day.

We've stayed here on and off for 62 years. The views are great, and the sea breeze is wonderful. You can walk safely to The Casino and back for exercise, with food places everywhere. Great staff too. It feels like a great place to call home for a while. First class.

The location made this a great family base, with the rock pool, beach, bike paths, and WW2 history within easy reach, plus restaurants and cafes a walk away. The unit is dated, but it suited us perfectly since we're usually tent campers. The beds were comfortable, it felt secure and safe, and we had a lovely view of castle hill and the ocean. The staff were friendly and approachable. We'll make this our go-to place next time we visit. Thank you.
